Guard: "Wala pa ang imong sundo dai?"
Me: "Wala pa lagi guard."
Guard: "Aw dali dai. Lingkod sad diri kay ngitngit diha ug para naa sad kay kuyog."
It was past 6 p.m. Kuya Hermello was on duty at the carport area of Saint Theresa's College Cebu. I was waiting for my driver outside when he noticed me standing alone, in the dark. He called me and offered me a seat. We talked about his work in STC for quite a while until my driver arrived.
That happened two years ago. Until this day, he would still ask me if my "sundo" already arrived whenever I head out the gate.
Just like the other security guards in school, Kuya Hermello, who has been working in STC for seven years now, is a friend to the Theresians and parents. He loves what he does so it is not difficult to get along with him.
STC is sure blessed with having security personnel who are doing more than what is expected of them.
